    Mickey

Mickey, Male, 8 months old, 38 lbs.
    Mickey, neutered male, 8mo. 38lb
A kind old lady found Mickey and his siblings were abandoned near a garbage dump area. The mama dog was no where to be found. All the puppies were shivering , weak, hungry and trying to look for some food. If nobody rescued them, there is no way they can survive. The old lady couldn’t leave them behind, so she took them home. The lady is too old to care for all of the puppies. Another rescuer learned about the situation and is asking us to help to find Mickey a loving home. Mickey is in a foster home right now, below is the foster dad\'s observation of Mickey.

Here is a description of Mickey:
    weight: 38lbs
Mickey is a kind and sweet dog. He will be shy at first when meeting a new family and he initially will be cautious and reserved. Mickey does love one thing, and that is food. He is very intelligent and can learn tricks and commands quickly when food is involved. You can even use kibble as a training reward and he will happily take it. He has a tendency to gulf down his food without chewing, so a KONG toy is recommended to make him eat slower. Being a mixed dog, Mickey does not have any stomach issues, he is able to eat new food and adapt immediately. Mickey also does not pass gas, and is odorless. Mickey is highly sensitive to noises and is very alert, but does not bark. On walks, he can sometimes be scared by routine noises outside, however he is making improvements daily. Mickey enjoys playing with toys, especially ones with squeakers. Mickey gets along with other dogs, but may take a few days to get used to them. Mickey is looking for a loving home that would help him get over some of his fears of the unknown. He is a puppy and just needs more opportunities to explore the world and see all that life has to offer. Mickey would do better in a home with another dog.
