Ricky, a neutered male dog, 3 years old, 35lbs Hi! My name is Ricky and I’m a golden Labrador mix. I’m super calm and sweet. I was found wandering the streets. I had already had my front leg amputated but the stitches were still in and I had a little swelling. I was rescued by someone and after they removed my leg, I was put back on the street. I guess there were just no room for me. Another rescuer saw me and took me to the vet, removed my stitches and also took care of me. I finally had a short term home. I wasn’t used to walking on the leash before but I’m a very quick learner and am now walking well on the leash. On occasion I get a little side tracked and need some encouragement to walk on. I’m very passive and loving being around people. I’m good with everyone including children and other dogs. It is my front leg that has had to be amputated so I can get a little tired at times if the walks are long, so I need to stay in shape and not put on too much weight.
