Lola, Female, 3 years old, 40 lbs.
Lola Spayed female 3 years old, 40 lb
Lola’s rescuer saw Lola at their community parking lot. The elderly janitor there told them that her owner brought her to the lot and left. The kind janitor felt sorry for Lola and has been feeding her regularly. She was very friendly and affectionate with him.
A couple saw Lola at the parking lot and Lola was very friendly with them and even jumped on their scooter. They saw Lola had a collar on her and they found out from the Janitor about what happened to Lola. The couple felt really sad that Lola was abandoned and had no shelter. They also started to bring food some times to feed Lola and give Lola a lot of attention. Lola will wag her tail non-stop every time she saw them.
One day Lola was missing and her food and water bowl were gone. The janitor told them that people in the neighborhood were strongly against having the dog there and reported her to the pound so that they could catch her. The couple was so worry about Lola, they franticly search for Lola and found Lola was hiding under a pile of scrap metal shivering and scared. She had been beaten repeatedly with a blunt object by the people who disliked dogs in the area.
The couple’s heart sank when they found Lola whimpered in pain and fear. She was so helpless and her eye was begging for their help. The couple took Lola to the vet and had her treated and then put her in a foster home while trying to ask around for a good home. But couldn’t find one. There are 15 other dogs in the foster home and it is not a good place for her to stay indefinitely, so they urgently want to find a loving home for Lola so that she can be part of a loving family. If you have that special home that she craves, please find it in your heart to help her. Please go to www.ahan.org, on Lola’s picture, click apply, it will link to our online application.
